Welcome The members of the air-rifle and air-pistol association Bern (LglpBern) appreciate the interest you show for their activities. As in other associations, social contacts with congenial are fostered by our members. We meet once, twice sometimes even three times a week at “Oberfeld”, the historic and cultural place where the Bernese shooter meet.

Our “sports gear” is the air-pistol and the air-rifle. Both heavy duty gears are constructed for exclusively 10 m target practice. They are individually fitted according to the anatomic data of each shooter. In contrast to various other competition sports, the shooting with air-compression is not only framed by defined progressive steps and actions, but the shooter also experiences the paradox interplay of extreme tension and deepest calmness, followed by a sense of freedom the moment the shot is released. Attention and breathing-techniques being the focus. Not the shot itself is important at that point, but the exact and devoted execution of the entire practice, similar to that of the Japanese archery. Good target results will set in, also during tournaments in other rifle-ranges. The right way is the aim. Members of the air-rifle and air-pistol association Bern are not under “group-pressure” such as experienced by members in an orchestra, where each musician has to master his instrument and the music at a certain stage in the part of music.
